Much as I liked the TP&W paint scheme, I could never figure out what that little dangle below the P was meant to be.  Any enlightenment??

What loco model in photo #2?  #900 Rear end resembles a Geep but trucks and front end look unusual to me.

TP&W 900 is a GP-35 built on trade-in trucks from an Alco RS-2
