Well-done cloudy day photo. The building and its fire escapes certainly makes a great backdrop.

Yep, looks line the west end of the SCAL at Halsted Street.

Are the steps missing above the footboard on the 9634 ?

I'm thinking this photo may be on the SCAL just east of 16th St (Clark St) tower,
with the train headed westward.  Note the dwarf home signal between the mains.  
The building at left reminds me of the old gigantic Meadow Gold Cold Storage building that once sat there.
Corrections welcome and appreciated.
