Ever since I saw the E's on specials going thru Cheyenne I revived my passion for the ones i worked with on the Rock Island.
Here is our rebuilt set of E's on a westbound special departing Cheyenne.
I miss them.

Yes the beautiful UP E's and others have been abandoned by inefficiency. And it really sucks for the railfans that also may own some UP stock.

That matched set is a classic example of one of the beauties of E-units.
