Twelve cars - including one deadhead or buffer car, 4 sleepers and an ex-CZ observation car. Headed east at Missouri City,Tx coming in to Houston. It may have lost lots of money but just think of the contrast to the Amtrak Sunset Limited here to the SP Sunset of 1968. Great shot of a near perfect, Amtrak, mid-1970 train.
