F-Unit Friday SEPTA Style
Author: ns2557

Caught this SEPTA FP7A, 4372 at the ex RDG Rutherford Pa yard on June 3 1978.  Sure was a good day.  Caught it again later that summer up on the Buffalo Line at Rockville. Unit is ex RDG, so I am sure it has been here at this facility before. Gotta love the yellow paint on the bearings. Ben

It's a Reading thing.

The 3 Septa ex RDG FP7s were repainted in Reading Shop.

I guess they could lease one of the three, SEPTA only needed two Fs to push-pull the "Circus Train". I last saw the Circus Train, inbound, stopped at Valley Forge Park Station from the Betzwood Bridge on US Rte 422 (before Rte 422 was completed and it was PA Rte 363).
