Author: RRTom While doing trackwork on the NEC in the early 90s, we would scan approaching Amtrak trains to see if they had any straight-side (heritage) cars. If so, everyone would move back as far as possible and turn around to avoid the inevitable spray from the outdoor discharge plumbing. No need to worry about Amfleets.
