Living on the peninsula and having all those SP commutes - and freights too - passing through would have been a boy’s dream for me. Alas, I grew up in a rural setting and occasionally just barely heard the ATSF whistles from 8 miles away.

It's possible my Dad was Conductor on this train. Heck, I could have been on it if it was summer when I rode up and back to the City sometimes with dad. Thanks, Bob
