Nostalgia & History > F unit Friday - Santa Fe F7ADate: 07/31/20 07:37 F unit Friday - Santa Fe F7A Author: gcm June 75
F7A 263C is at the Santa Fe facility in Ft.Worth at the station. It was rebuilt into a CF7 (2433) at the Cleburne shops in Nov 77. Santa Fe traded it in to Amtrak for an SDP40F unit in Sept 84. Nice bug ! Gary Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/31/20 07:37 by gcm. Date: 07/31/20 08:06 Re: F unit Friday - Santa Fe F7A Author: hotrail Love both of those shots. The F7, while filthy and a bit worn, is still a fine looking loco. The image just reeks of "hard-working Texas railroading".
You must have found something to stand on to get the good angle on that first shot? Thanks for posting! Date: 07/31/20 09:28 Re: F unit Friday - Santa Fe F7A Author: refarkas Two first-rate catches.

I planned on returning to the F units (to get better shots) after we got back to the station but unfortunately the engines had departed when got back. Thanks. Gary Edited 1 time(s).
