Nostalgia & History > Station Saturday: TexasDate: 08/01/20 04:43 Station Saturday: Texas Author: PVSfan Midland TX on the Midland & Northwestern Railroad. Few have heard of it and even fewer have seen a
photo of it. Its operational existence was from 1916 to 1920. It was acquired by the T&P eventually and then scrapped out around 1923. The two-story depot/office is lurking in the background of this photo behind the coach. The building itself survived into the late 1950s as apartments. The enginehouse is at left. The road only had two locomotives, one of which was acquired from the Southern Pacific. Many tales exist how M&NW trains made the trip to Seminole TX and back over the course of its brief existence. |
