.   .   .   a quick hit and run visit to the Lone Star Steel facility in Lone Star, TX, netted one of their many ALCO's on the property. As with many facilities back then, no guard shack, no one says anything. Unfortunately this entire facility ceased operation this year. Fortunately, the Texas Northern, which connected the plant with the outside world via KCS near Hughes Springs,is still doing some business.
