But in all the pics I've seen I get the impression the brand-new BN was trying hard not to lose the heritage of the Q's stainless steel fleet of psgr cars. I do like the scheme, but it comes up way short when compared to a Warbonnet. Of course...

Author: ntharalson This scheme, and a similar one that retained CB&Q striping on the nose, were the results of a couple of failed efforts to paint the stainless steel side panels of the ex-Q engines green. Perhaps the best known all green engine, 9942, went to Amtrak but looked terrible! This was probably the best compromise the BN could come up with. Thanks for posting.
