After Amtrak essentially stopped using F40PH's at the end of 2001, the 241 started roaming to different corners of North America as an HEP supply.  Online photos from 2002 show it on the Alaska Railroad, and photos from 2005 show it accompanying the American Orient Express.  It appears to have gotten the Ferromex lettering during the AOE era.  This unit went to Iowa Northern in 2006 and now runs around in Rock Island paint as their 678.
