Nostalgia & History > Roosevelt WashingtonDate: 09/27/20 00:01 Roosevelt Washington Author: Railpax71 Before that massive landfill and garbage trains, Roosevelt had the wheat industry and a tug and barge ferry across the river to Arlington, Oregon. The Roosevelt ferry was mentioned in a thread on the passenger forum, and I responded with memories of Ben Flippen and how did we call the ferry to pick us up. The answer is in my old negatives which I just reviewed.

Alternative a drive to Maryhill or to McNary to cross the river to the Oregon side. Note the buldozer named "Ben".
