Just an Orange Caboose -- Bill Howes

Western Maryland Railway Caboose 1893 in January, 1974, most probably in Ridgeley, WV.

Is it really orange or a color shift in the slide?  Chessie cabooses were yellow, even the ones lettered for the Western Maryland.

I thought it was going to be a Milwaukee Road caboose. And, yes, that looks too orange compared to the Chessie cabooses I used to see in Indiana which appeared more yellow than orange.

Thanks Bill for the photo and Marty for posting it.  The color is yellow and the slide may have faded some over the years.

Color is off - Chessie colors are yellow.
