Nostalgia & History > Front End Friday: U50Date: 11/13/20 18:29 Front End Friday: U50 Author: BNSF-6432 Here's a shot from what I believe to be somewhere around Denver, CO. While Frank Tribbey was visiting, he was just able to capture U50 #39 with the end of a roll of film, hence the reason for the shot being cut short.
Taken December 1968 by Frank Tribbey. PQM Date: 11/13/20 19:37 Re: Front End Friday: U50 Author: FiveChime Neat photo.
I think those horns on the U50s came from the turbines. Forward facing one looks to be deterioating. Regards, Jim Evans Date: 11/13/20 20:06 Re: Front End Friday: U50 Author: SCKP187 Nice shot---goota like the looks of a loco with 2 sets of trucks on each end
