Nostalgia & History > Painters mistake! No I,m running backwards, dummy!Date: 11/20/20 11:48 Painters mistake! No I,m running backwards, dummy! Author: slacks Yrs ago at East Dubuque Ill caught this ballast train about to cross IC diamond. Having seen many SD-9s on the BN I thougth this was a mistake. Most little SDs on the BN were of Q heritage and ran short hood foward but this was an EX-GN SD-9 and they were set up the other way. MY BAD but it still doesn,t look right!

You Burlington guys have it all wrong! Date: 11/20/20 18:09 Re: Painters mistake! No I,m running backwards, dummy! Author: Q-GP30 Vary rarely did I ever see a former GN GP20 or SD9 lead in former Q territory, they were mainly buried in the consist. Occasionally Galesburg would send one on point but it would be short hood forward.
