1005 is at Georgetown,Tx. The Georgetown Railroad was operating a number of Baldwins at that time. 1005 was built by Baldwin in June 1952 as Missouri-Kansas-Texas 1213. It was renumbered to 45 in approximately 1959. became GRR 1005 on August 12, 1969. It was retired in 1983. The K&IT had six Baldwin switchers, The elementary school I attended was adjacent to their mainline. I watched the railroad at every opportunity and can still remember the Baldwin sound well.
