Rest of the power taken off at Oroville and turned back east.  That's a lot of faith in that GE.

The U23B's were a lot more reliable then the U30B's.

Single-unit westbounds out of Oroville were quite common. However, the first couple miles out of town were uphill, so sometimes you needed a push from the yard job.
