Continuing the "Black Friday" theme from earlier today.

When I became a railfan in Central Pennsylvania, Penn Central black was just about all I saw.  I was glad when Conrail came along.  With Norfolk Southern's acquisition of much of Conrail in Pennsylvania, black has returned.  At least Norfolk Southern's scheme is an improvement over what Penn Central offered.

This photo was taken from the 17th Street Bridge looking southwest in October 2011.

Alto toward closed during the following year.
