You used a "lighter touch" than usual in the digital darkroom, and the results look good. The shadows aren't chalky/grainy from being lightened too much, the ground cover and bricks haven't been turned to mush by heavy noise suppression, and none of the colors have been selectively desaturated out of existence. On my monitor anyway, these fulfill your stated goal of presenting photos that look "as close to what the eye saw as possible." I am 100% on board with everything Evan noted. Marty, your last few posts have been marvelous!!! Much, much better than the usual heavily washed out detail & weak, light pastel colors. Kudos!!
