My guess is that some of the end of week departures from Chicago were short-powered, so units to Chicago are being cut-off to add to the westbounds. The buildings in the photo are the old shop buildings which is why this area of Ft. Madison was called Shopton for years, The "switcher" and box car are on the lead to the yard, and that's all I can tell you. The buildngs were razed a couple of years ago, not being used at the time.
