Warbonnet Wednesday - Matched Set 3

Continuing this series, here are four B40-8W's at Ft. Madison on April 2, 1994.  No, I don't know why, or remember why, they cut off their train.

Eastbound, right? Day of week was Saturday.

My guess is that some of the end of week departures from Chicago were short-powered, so units to Chicago are being cut-off to add to the westbounds.

Lots going on here.  JB Hunts in the distance and the switcher  and boxcar over by the industries.

Sorry, no industries here.  The buildings in the photo are the old shop buildings which is why this area of Ft. Madison was called Shopton for years,  The "switcher" and box car are on the lead to the yard, and that's all I can tell you.  The buildngs were razed a couple of years ago, not being used at the time.
