It was in the daytime, and we had to sneak up on each signal to see what it displayed because the snow plastered up aginst the lense. They would have showed up at night, but not in the daytime. We couldn't see the aproach to Neva when we went by it, so we had to stop at Neva, and the brakeman had to climb up on the signal and brush off the snow so we could see it.

Have wondered with some of the snowstorms I’ve tried to drive in what it would be like with a train and not being able to see the signals.
