Nostalgia & History > PC GG1 4932 -- Part 2Date: 01/12/21 11:27 PC GG1 4932 -- Part 2 Author: MartyBernard 1, 2, and 3. Penn Central GG1 4932 was heading into Washington Union Station from the north on the afternoon of April 29, 1969. I have a conflict in my notes. In one place I say she had Train 149, The Afternoon Keystone. In another place I say she had Crescent/Southerener cars. Help.
4. Here, a little later, she is heading back to the Ivy City engine house. Enjoy, Marty Bernard Date: 01/12/21 11:27 Re: PC GG1 4932 -- Part 2 Author: MartyBernard Date: 01/12/21 12:51 Re: PC GG1 4932 -- Part 2 Author: bq23dash7 Very nice. Is that a Pullman (?) 10-6 (UP Colors) with another 10-6 on the end?

Date: 01/12/21 14:22 Re: PC GG1 4932 -- Part 2 Author: twropr ,#149 the Afternoon Keystone also carried Southern Crescent cars. Prior to the PC merger, this was the southbound that carried the Tubular cars, adding P70 and P85 coaches when the 5 or 6 Tubular coaches did not have sufficient capacity. The Pennsy (and even the PC) generally provided a seat for everybody.
Andy Date: 01/12/21 18:51 Re: PC GG1 4932 -- Part 2 Author: Gonut1 The 4932 looks like a wrinkly old elephant, which at this point in time it was! Long gone was the stylish PRR gold 5 and single stripe motif.
Such a downplay on Raymond Loewy's beautiful design. I really miss seeing the PRR G's in proper attire. Long ago and far away! Go Date: 01/13/21 08:59 Re: PC GG1 4932 -- Part 2 Author: retcsxcfm twropr Wrote:
