Continuing with the them I started weeks ago, here' another set of B40-8W's at Stronghurst, IL, on June 11, 1994.  This is an eaastbound, obivously in the afternoon, at the east grade crossing.  You took what you could.  There will probably be another four or so posts in ths theme so stay tuned.

When did the AT&SF start using the passenger paint scheme on freight units?  I liked the old blue and yellow.

During the time of F units. Several units had 80 MPH gearing for use on freight and passengers.

First NEW PAINT warbonnet units were painted in '89.

Looks like some of trailers up towards the front are former CRST Trailers. The gold stripe gives it away.
