Regarding where they operated, their history is a bit more complicated per the espee.railfan site. Per that site, this would actually be an SW8 with dynamic brakes (you can barely make the top DB fan thru the cab) paired with a TR6B, which occured after the original TR6A and TR6B combinations. They had dual controls which made them very handy. |
