UP U28C 2801 in Nampa, ID

In 1973 I was too young to drive very far. But, my parents went to visit relatives in Boise, Idaho. So, I made a side trip to Nampa with my cousin. UP U28C 2801 in Nampa Idaho on Sunday, September 9, 1973. According to good sources UP 2801 was built in June 1966 by GE as a model U28C, builders number 36015, retired August 1981.

Thanks for sharing a photo of one of UP's early 6-axle U-boats. Looks like it has early Adirondack trucks with the ridge over the center axle.
