Has passed the substation at Janney (Jane-e) and is approaching the east siding switch Newcomb. This would have been a fairly easy spot for Bruce to get to. Might be the boxcab set that was struck by lightning, working as a helper on an eb, near Donald several weeks earlier. Rob will probably know for sure.

Yes, the Butte Helper job had just been abolished and the crippled E45 set was being hauled to Deer Lodge. Did not run as a 3-unit set again. Best regards, Rob L. That seemed to be the way the Milwaukee did things as they built west. Build it as a wooden trestle and either fill it in or replace it with a steel trestle shortly after.
