Southern Pacific (SP) Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton (BLH) S-12 2120 rests between assignments on an unknown date in Eugene, Oregon likely in July, 1973. SP 2120 is a Baldwin S-12. Reportedly: SP 2120 was built by BLH in 1951 as an S-12, SP 1463 Class DS-110 serial number 75024. In 1965 it was renumbered to SP 2120 Baldwin S-12, SP Class B412-1. The disposition of this locomotive is reported as: retired Feb 19, 1974. To Purdy Metals. According to Joe Strapac, Class B412-1 was erected by BLH but only the last 8 units were shipped with B-L-H builders plates. SP 2120 was one of those 8, being the last unit in that class.

The safety slogans on the pilot are wonderful elements; same on your Baldwin post yesterday. That'd be a great modelling detail.
