Date: 04/06/21 19:19 Re: Eight Various Amtrak Author: Bob3985 In your photo number 4 of the two Amtraks (5 & 6) in Cheyenne at the same time raised a real headach for the dispatchers.
Both trains had to have their power run around the trains upon arrival in Cheyenne. This tied up three of the 4 mainlines. I was a hostler at that time on second shift and may have been the one doing the run arounds. Bob Krieger Cheyenne, WY Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/06/21 19:21 by Bob3985. Marty states the photo was taken in Reno, but I don't remember the station platform being on a curve. Date: 04/06/21 20:33 Re: Eight Various Amtrak Author: AndyBrown OmahaTom Wrote:

I don't think it's Martinez; not enough tracks. It's a stumper. I don't know why but it gives me a Sunset Ltd. vibe. Single track on a curve with a recently paved blacktop platform, and a relatively major town judging by the number of passengers on the platform. It's got me baffled.
