Westbound Wednesday, SP Train #75, Then (1967) and Today
Author: FiveChime

I must of spent the an entire morning at Millbrae one Spring day in 1967 as I posted the Del Monte earlier and here is the westbound
Lark that would of come through arouns 8:30 AM.
A little while ago today, I went down there to try to get a photo from the same location but attached 2nd photo is about as close as I
could get . Freight shed from which I took the Lark picture is long gone as is everything else in that picture.
A lot of fence there now with BART storage track in the background.

I think my favorite saying of "Its All Crap Now" fits this scene well.

Is the coffee shop still in business up on the corner of El Camino and Millbrae Road?
They always had a great Hot Turkey sandwich!        ==Jim Baker

Yes, Peter's Cafe. Not for long though as plans have been approved to redevelop that entire block of el Camino
for around a mile north. All current building to get torn down to be replace by hi-rise buildings.
Already going up in the former BART Station parking lot to the east.

It is a BART train on the far left, and a Caltrain in the center-right.

They won't be putting a "high rise" in the location in the picture. That's the end of runways 01L and 01R at San Francisco International in the background.
