Somehow, I don't think that is "June 1975", since she was stored inside EMD, prior to taking over the Freedom Train in Chicago around July 1975. That scene surely is NOT inside EMD! Somebody with much more accurate date information might want to add to this. That was Lynn's and my first long trips on the UP Steam crew.
We were there for the 50th Anniversary and we took the E9 951 to pose with the ATSF F's and SP E-8 to recreate a classic photo back in the days od regular passenger service from there. Bob Krieger Cheyenne, WY |
