Nostalgia & History > Still More SP Locations/DirectionsDate: 04/08/21 06:22 Still More SP Locations/Directions Author: Art045 Good Morning - moving through the unknown locations/directions, here are three more: Mac Sebree's two shots of the "Del Monte" from April 1968; and, an unknown photographer's shot of the 9054 leading a train circa April 1980. Date: 04/08/21 08:27 Re: Still More SP Locations/Directions Author: railstiesballast The current issue of the SP Historic & Technical Society TRAINLINE has an article about the Mohawk line change; that was an easy one to figure out having just read that.
There is also a compilation of all the locations of CTC installation on the Pacific Lines, including standard drawings of the signals and relay houses. The geography seems a better match, and note the partial milepost on the culvert - 112x.x. This would be right for Steins, but way wrong for Mohawk which was 793.7 at the east switch.

Train is running railroad west / compass north, parallel with Hwy 99. Looks like it is the late 1960s.
