RGZ on a tight curve
Author: gcm

March 77
The westbound Rio Grande Zephyr is between Denver and the Moffat Tunnel.
I don't remember the exact spot but have been told this is around milepost 36.
Also that this was the tightest curve on the east slope, 12.08 degrees.
One time I saw a picture of the California Zephyr at this curve on a postcard.
When I drove by I thought that it looked familiar.

The chart says it's 12 deg 08 min, just west
of MP 36.
