(Higher quality redo) L&N 799 and three other E7A's sit in Lafayette, Indiana on August 6, 1972. These were not leased by Amtrak.

Did L&N use these very often on the old Monon after the takeover? I've not seen many pictures of them on the ex Monon.

L&N #799 led the last L&N trains in and out of Dearborn Station, Chicago, IL, 4/30/71.  Gerry
