Nostalgia & History > SP ALCo S4 1792 in 1974Date: 05/03/21 21:32 SP ALCo S4 1792 in 1974 Author: ssloansjca Southern Pacific (SP) ALCo S4 1792 is in the PFE facility at Roseville, CA on Tuesday, August 6, 1974. SP 1792 is an ALCo S4. Reportedly: this locomotive was built as SP 1464 in Nov. 1951, SP Class DS-111, serial number 79339. In 1965 it was renumbered and reclassified as SP 1792 ALCo S4, Class AS410-4. It was retired July 1975.
