The second two are self-explanatory.  The first one clearly isn't on the BN if taken in Savage, MN.  I would hazard a guess that it's now an elevator switcher and the elevator modified the BN paint scheme.  This is not totally unusual.  The Iowa Norther ended up with at least four ex-BN/NP GP9's that ran around in BN paint for most of their lives on the IANR.  In fact, only 1843 got Iowa Northern paint and it develped a slew of mechanical issues and seldom ran after that.  It wasn't until late in the game, I want to say around 1990, that the BN heralds on the cab got replaced with IANR heralds, but the green paint remained on the Geeps.

Your guess looks to be spot on.   The Don's Ross Group page for BN SW8's indicates the 101 was sold to Continental Grain in 1982 and that it later became Cargill Corp 101.   It looks like Continental Grain was likely the one responsible for the white paint.
