Nostalgia & History > Delaware & Hudson location helpDate: 06/14/21 09:01 Delaware & Hudson location help Author: thebluecomet These are from two duplicate slides purchased years ago without any identification.
1. A pair of PA's on a freight train. No notes on the slide at all. 2. This photo has the Railpace Magazine stamp on it, but no other info. Thanks for any help. Date: 06/14/21 09:08 Re: Delaware & Hudson location help Author: train1275 Photo 1 looks like a westbound at Wellsburg, NY on the former Erie Lackawanna between Binghamton and Buffalo. East of Elmira.
Probably 1977 - 1978. Posted from Android Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/14/21 09:08 by train1275. That would probably make the train a Binghamton to Sayre turn, a Lehigh Valley interchange run which was a common assignment for the sharks and may have drawn PAs a few times.
I think that train was abolished shortly after the Conrail start up in April of 1976. Was it still running in 1977? Date: 06/14/21 09:50 Re: Delaware & Hudson location help Author: train1275 Wellsburg is west of Sayre.
This was a Binghamton to Buffalo train but I'm not sure of the symbol. Posted from Android Date: 06/14/21 11:32 Re: Delaware & Hudson location help Author: march_hare Oop, duh, should have thought of that.
