No dynamics, flat-land units.

I can't tell you the location. Maybe Willmar or Grand Forks or Breckenridge? Terminal seems kind of small to be Minneapolis or Minot.

Best regards,

Rob L.

I remember a photo in "Trains" many years ago about the C&S leasing GN FT's in order to replace CS steam. It probably in Denver, seeing that Dick Wallin photographed  that scene. If I get a few minutes I will try and view the "Trains" magazine 1940 to 2000 that I purchased several years to research the photo.

Can I disagree on the location?  I was guessing Minneapolis Junction.  The background would fit that time period and I know Wallin got to the Twin Cities a lot.  West of there I'm not so sure.

The back ground does not seem correct for Mpls Jct. I worked a crappy relief on the X-Gn side after the 1970 merger (I was NP).  I must research  this photo most.

P. S. I was not well liked by cause I was NP!

It MIGHT be in Childress or Wichita Falls, TX, when the C&S and FW&D leased some GN FT's. IIRC, there's a couple pics of those in a Morning Sun book on the FW&D...

It might be a coincidence, but with the NP boxcar in the background, I suspect it would be a bit further north....
