First photo: Westbound (Q-KCKRIC) at the west end of Gateley, CA Feb. 4, 2005. The KCKRIC (Kansas City Kansas to Richmond) often had pool power in those days. Second and third photos: Westbound between Christie and the big tunnel, Feb. 22, 2005. As I was living in Martinez and working in Richmond CA back then, I traveled through Franklin Canyon in the morning and in the evening commuting. This helped me catch some of these unusual consists. - Eric Blasko
