Nostalgia & History > Otowi Bridge (NM)Date: 09/16/21 04:53 Otowi Bridge (NM) Author: PVSfan Quite a story revolves around this D&RGW Chili Line bridge. It's gone now.
The nearby highway bridge still exists but lies within reservation land. Read the book "House at Otowi Bridge" for the full story(including a tie-in to the Manhattan Project). Same link goes to tabs for Otowi Crossing, Chili Line, and Manhattan Project: Otowi Crossing Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 09/16/21 08:25 by PVSfan. All the other tabs at the top of the page link to a wide range of stories from the region. Date: 09/16/21 10:40 Re: Otowi Bridge (NM) Author: Conch Great information. I see the picture of #426 crossing the river is credited to the Richard Dorman collection. The original view was captured by Denver photographer Otto Perry. I've attached his view that I colorized with permission from the Denver Public Library.
