Nostalgia & History > Is this the old Cornfield Yard?Date: 10/13/21 22:48 Is this the old Cornfield Yard? Author: Mr-Beechcroft Date: 10/13/21 23:28 Re: Is this the old Cornfield Yard? Author: cewherry Very close. The Cornfield was a part of River Station and is out of the frame, to the right
extending over to North Broadway. The building with the multiple pipes extending into silos is Capitol Milling Company which was reached from the south end of the Cornfield. The two gons are in what was called The Links, another part of River Station and your camera position is about where the Links yard office was located. The street at the extreme left is North Spring St. Charlie Date: 10/14/21 08:46 Re: Is this the old Cornfield Yard? Author: Zephyr All a big urban park now with the Gold Line right of way on the north side. Quite a transformation.
