It was handled by the passenger train crews who worked Huntington-Chicago-Marion-Huntington. Huntington based engine crews worked to and from Chicago. On the west side of that E-L RR passenger train was the old Santa Fe Railway train 15 the Texas Chief to Houston, TX which was handled by the Fort Madison, IA based passenger train and engine crews that worked to and from Chicago.
