Date: 01/12/22 11:09 Re: Old RR, older paint scheme: EL H16-44 Author: njmidland Here is a photo given to me by Jim McClellan of the Trainmasters at work in East Stroudsburg, PA in 1961. It was already the EL, but they were still in their as delivered DL&W colors.

It was one of six of this model , all went to Erie Lackawannna and were sold to Streigel in June 1966 and resold to CHP in Mexico where some worked into the 1970's. The 1932 ws wrecked down there at some point and scrapped. Ten Train Masters were delivered in June 1953 (DL&W 850 - 859) and two more in November 1956 (860 - 861). When these units went into Erie Lackawanna they became 1800 series, add a one in front of the DL&W number. |
