This is an awesome picture.  I always thought the DD35As were way cooler looking units than the DDA40Xs.

I probably gave this guy a roll by while I was working on the Lawrence section crew. This was only 2 weeks after we cleaned up the 40 car derailment at the ATSF diamond at Bonner Springs. Worked about 35 hours stright that "day"

That was taken on my 22nd. birthday. I was celebrating across the river at the Santa Fe shops, where I was a Carman at the time.
