WAG Steam Sunday Scratch Print ATSF 1838
Author: jtwlunch

2 views from WAG print collection of Santa Fe 1838 (2-6-2) working past a depot.  Photographer, location, date unknown.  Like the Engineer pose and what is the heritage of the boxcar 1st out?  A little scratch never hurt anything.

The curve looks like Burlingame, KS. Have seen lots of WAG and Junior and Topeka Chapter NRHS member's photos there.

Depot stood here...  https://goo.gl/maps/XP87ntKJUcdxhBGY7

I concur. I always wanted to shoot Amtrak here, but never caught a late train at the right time...

Looks like taken with focal plain shutter, which explains the loco "leaning..."

Graphic or Speed Graphic.

No sir. That has always been a super-elevated curve, much akin the the main line curve(s) at the old depot location in Peabody, KS...

We rarely get to see action shots of ATSF 2-6-2 power . Thanks for sharing.
