Nostalgia & History > WP Wednesday, UP 1983 Eastbound East Troy, 10 Years AgoDate: 01/19/22 08:45 WP Wednesday, UP 1983 Eastbound East Troy, 10 Years Ago Author: FiveChime One of my favorite locations on Donner with questionable access these days. Used to be able to drive to the grade crossing and park,
then hike east along the ROW. Very pleasant area especially in the Spring with snowmelt water flowing at several locations. The nice sounding K5LL horns on the UP SD70ACE's and AH units becoming more common with all the new EMD locomotives adds some class to railroading over Donner. UP 1983 was never a WP locomotive and it sure isn't wearing a WP paint scheme. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/19/22 09:21 by PHall. Date: 01/19/22 09:43 Re: WP Wednesday, UP 1983 Eastbound East Troy, 10 Years Ago Author: FiveChime OK, I'll try to make up for it.
