Conrail had quite a few SD40's and SD-40-2's.  Here is train ALSR departing out the west end of the Allentown, PA yard. October 29, 1989.

6266 was one of the handful of SD40's Conrail provided from their own roster for rebuilding.  It became the 6989, and went to CSX after the Conrail split-up; it became their 8880.  I have not found a photograph of it newer than 2017, so I don't know if it is still on CSX's roster.

Great shots, this was back when you could drive into the west end and stand on the stone piles without getting hassled.
