UP C30-7 2466 is leading an eastbound empty coal train back to Utah just after sunrise at Barstow, CA on 9/25/1993.

Nice photo angle. Seems the C30-7 period was very brief. Is that a SD50 or 60 third out? Thanks for sharing

SD60M 6146 is third out.

C30-7's lasted on UP for 24 years and BN for 26.

Looks like SD60M 6146. 

But speaking of SD50's, their lifespan was only about as long as the C30-7's.  Union Pacific didn't buy any new, but of the SD50's they inherited from merger partners, the longest-lived ones only served 23 years from construction until UP retired them.

Ya got me. I expected a four axle EMD but C30's are  OK too.
