The former Reading 4-8-4, T-1 was #2102 which is now owned by the Reading & Northern Railroad and thankfully, completely rebuilt.

My brother and I were able to ride this trip and I am so glad that we did.  The trip covered the old main line as I recall as well as the Dutch line.  I will always remember getting to Hagerstown and the first thing I remember was seeing a WM BL-2 idling in the yard.  I remember the WM FA-2's being added to get us over Jack's Mountain.  I was lucky enough to secure the Alco GE builder's plate from WM #302 about 20 years after the trip.  It has been a prized plate in my collection ever since.  I have included photos of the plate from WM 302.

WM 301 and 302 became LIRR 609 and 610 not long afterward.  Here is LIRR 609 at Port Jefferson (NY) in November 1973.  Stephen J. Benkovitz photo, my collection.

Why 2 sets of horns on the WM units, with the horns BOTH IN THE SAME LOCATION???  I could understand if 1 set was on the other end........

I rode that trip. We boarded next to the Locke Insulator building.
