The PE Claremont Station, the one that we lost
Author: lamta_jay

In July of 1971 my family made a trip to Grizwalds in Claremont and after lunch
I decided to make a side trip to see if I could get some photos of the old PE
Station and it was still there being used by the lumber company as their office.
I was not happy that I had Kodak Tri-X black & white film in my camera but
I took some photos from various angles, even noticed the PE MP 32 sign .
These negatives have been scanned and are on a CD now !

Thank you for posting these!  I remember going into that station during my kidhood, but never had the presence of mind to take any pictures of it.

Thanks for posting Jay. Station location looks like the SE corner of 1st and College, w/Santa Fe tracks just behind it; now a big Metrolink parking lot.
Shame to lose such a unique building.
